Supporting Women’s Mental Health Postpartum
My goal is to help new mothers regain their mental health, stamina, and overall well-being by addressing the unique challenges they face after childbirth. I combine nutritional therapy, lifestyle modifications, psychology, and functional testing to provide personalised care that rebalances all bodily systems and promotes optimal health.

My Approach
By looking at ALL your systems impacting your overall health, my aim is to create balance by exploring the root cause driving your symptoms and imbalances.

Addressing Deficiencies: Identifying and correcting common postpartum nutrient deficiencies, such as iron, vitamin D, and omega-3 fatty acids, which are crucial for mental health.
Functional Testing
Comprehensive Assessments: Using advanced functional tests to evaluate hormonal balance, stool analysis, hormone levels, nutrient levels, genetics and other key health markers.
Personalised Interventions: Developing targeted strategies based on test results to address specific imbalances and promote overall well-being.
Ongoing Support and Accountability: Regular follow-ups and retesting to track progress and make necessary adjustments to the care plan
Lifestyle Modifications
Stress Management Techniques: Teaching practical strategies to reduce stress and improve emotional well-being even when you feel like your day is spiralling and you have no control.
Sleep Quality Support and Circadian Rhythms: Offering tools and techniques to improve sleep quality, essential for mental health and recovery during the postpartum period even if baby is keeping you up all night!
Movement Strategies: Creating personalised movement plans that are safe and effective, promoting physical health, mood enhancement, and energy levels.
Psychological Support
With a previous degree in Psychology and as a qualified in NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) practitioner I provide a safe space for new mothers to discuss their feelings, challenges, and experiences, offering support and understanding.
I use a very holistic approach and understand each mum has their own unique needs. We explore negative patterns, low self-esteem, belief systems and utilise positive Psychology techniques to support shifts in mindset.
My Story
After my daughter was born, I was diagnosed with post-natal depression and anxiety. I felt like I had lost myself, and the frustration of not understanding why it weighed so heavily on me. My moods impacted my family, career, friendships, and overall quality of life. I knew I needed to make changes.
Reflecting on that challenging period, I realized how much a stressful lifestyle, poor immune function with frequent chest and gut infections, nutrient deficiencies, genetic and environmental influences and lack of self-care had affected my mental and physical resilience.
Four years later, when I decided to try for my second child, I was determined to put various tools in place to support my health. Mental health is a broad area, but using nutrition as one of many tools significantly helped me on my journey.
Knowledge truly is power. I am passionate about sharing my experience with other mums or mums-to-be, so they don’t feel alone. When our systems are imbalanced, we need to support our bodies with the right tools. Knowing those tools is key, and this is where the power of personalised nutritional therapy comes in.
You are not your diagnosis. You are not your symptoms. By addressing the root cause, you can regain your balance. Health is not an end point; it’s a journey. With the right support, it can be an empowering one!
